Users want to be able to create custom items (materials, labor, expenses) or modify prices specifically for a current quote, without these changes being automatically saved to the global item library (catalog). Currently, by default, modifying an item in a project updates the database for future projects. This clutters the catalog with one-time-use items and can cause errors (for example, the propagation of old versions of items when opening an old project). A feature or setting is needed to disable automatic synchronization and make the project’s item list completely independent of the global catalog.
