Reported bug: Standard gypsum is automatically subtracted when adding green gypsum

Several users have reported an apparent bug where the quantity of standard (regular) drywall is not automatically subtracted when they add green (water-resistant) drywall or Kerdi-type panels to a specific room (e.g., bathroom). After analysis by the team, it was determined that this is not a bug, but rather the platform’s normal and logical behavior. For the subtraction to work, two conditions must be met: 1. Standard drywall must already be calculated and present in the parent space (e.g., the entire ground floor) so that there is a quantity from which to subtract. 2. The type of drywall must match exactly (for example, you cannot subtract 1/2-inch ultra-lightweight drywall if the rest of the project uses Firecode drywall). The platform is therefore functioning as intended. The team has provided support and explanatory videos to affected customers to help them configure their assemblies correctly.
